The core concepts upon which the GIS is built are key to understanding the nature of the new prophetic dimension. They are as follows:

Reformation

All activity of the GIS is premised upon the reality of the present Reformation. Like the first great reformation from law to grace, the prophetic as it functions within this era is ‘not like the old.’ (Hebrews 8:9) The advent of the apostolic reformation is bringing vast change to the church and the systems of the earth. The prophetic dimension has gone through a radical restructuring via the internal transformation of those called to function as global prophets, and the resultant upgrade of the new prophetic dimension is producing fruit and redemption on an unprecedented scale.

Apostolic Equalization

A key task of the prophets is to bring equity across the broad structures of the earth. Isaiah spoke of John as the forerunner of Christ whose key mandate required him to “prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it.”Isaiah 40:3-5

John unflinchingly obeyed at the cost of his life. Though he lived in Palestine as an ethnic Jew, John’s first divinely proscribed activity was to strip away the false claim of access to God based on ethnic heritage. John went on to challenge the economic structures which produced inequity, corrupt colonial governmental policies, and the occupying imperial army which enforced the Pax Romana. In fact John was the forerunner for the coming of the Christ, and his mandate was to build a more just society that would be the road upon which divine entrance was made. (Luke 3:1-20)

The challenges facing society today are remarkably similar to that which existed in John’s day: ethnic exceptionalism which produces strife and limits access to marginalized, vast disparity in wealth and inequity of economic distribution, corruption of governments, and strong nations which act unilaterally on the world stage at the expense of the weak. The global company of prophets must function corporately today as John did singularly in his time: raising up valleys, leveling mountains, making crooked ways straight and rough places smooth.

Values & Ethics Based

A series of ethical values and cooperative relationships are intrinsic qualities which under gird the equipping and function of modern prophets. The GIS rejects prophetic ministry built primarily on gifting but with an absence of ethics. Every word spoken by God has an ethical value system behind it. Therefore to function within an accurate gifting that can predict events with incredible prescience, but to transgress ethically is to produce a false prophetic representation. Prophets must be quality humans who refuse to use their gifts for self-gain, including building their own ministries.

Issues in the nations cannot be addressed from a platform of ministry anchored in a prophetic gifting or an occasional, spontaneous anointing. Prophets must speak from a principled position that taps deeply into the nature and character of God, and reflects the majesty of His Kingdom to rulers and nations of the earth.

Within the GIS, we embrace a prophetic dimension that is deeply mystical while also highly governmental; we reject the frenetic activity of previous orders but embrace the quantum of divine energy released through His speaking; and we refute the incorrect emphasis on the singular prophet’s ministry in favor of an entire company of powerful prophetic people who live in the obedience of His speaking.
